To Lead Efforts With Catbird’s Strategic Partners and Large Enterprise Customers
SCOTTS VALLEY, CA (May 20, 2014) - Catbird, the leader in security policy automation and enforcement for private clouds, today announced Holland Barry as Vice President of Technology, promoting him from within the organization where he served as Solution Architect Director rather than filling the position externally.
"Since joining Catbird, Holland has brought passion and a forward thinking attitude to every aspect of his professional engagement,” said Randal Asay, Catbird’s Chief Technology Officer. “Holland is one of the strongest technical resources I have had the pleasure to work with, but beyond that, he brings a deep understanding of the challenges facing enterprise customers as they build out their private cloud environments.”
Combined with his experience in his previous position at Catbird, Barry brings over 18 years of expertise in networking, security and virtualization and cloud architecture.
“I look forward to working closely with Randal to expand our talented team and continue to improve our disruptive security solution. Our customer and technology alliances are expanding rapidly, reflecting recognition of the important role policy-based automation plays in securing private clouds and meeting compliance requirements. This leadership role will enable me to drive innovation and create more agile, efficient and secure clouds.”
Prior to joining Catbird as the Solution Architect Director where he works closely with the engineering team to implement customer-centric product enhancements, Barry was a converged infrastructure technologist at Dell working within the Enterprise Solutions Organization.
In his new role as Vice President of Technology, Barry will be working closely with Catbird’s largest partners and customers to plan and execute their private cloud security policies as well as managing the solution architect team, the company’s technical bridge between its sales representatives and pre-sales customers.
Barry will also serve as one of Catbird’s primary thought leaders and customer advocates.
“We are fortunate to have Holland as our new Vice President of Technology,” Asay added. “He will provide a great presence for us in the industry and serve as the voice of the customer as we build out new solutions to better meet their needs."
Catbird brings the power, agility and automation of the cloud to security policy and compliance, with a solution that automates, instruments and enforces policy while providing proof of continuous compliance. Customers rely on Catbird for managing cloud and virtualized infrastructure subject to compliance requirements including HIPAA, PCI-DSS, FISMA and SOX. The company is a winner of four Best of Show Finalist Awards at VMworld, CRN’s 2013 Virtualization 50 and SC Magazine’s “Innovator of the Year” for virtualization security.
